Recognising that many of our runners would like a T-Shirt, we do have high quality long-sleeved T-Shirts with a 2024 design available for purchase.

Choose between a female or unisex (male) fit. Fit and sizing charts are available here.

These are perfect for winter running! And available for a bargain £15.50 (retail price is IRO £25+)

Sports Massage

Book a sports massage for after your race with a physio team provided by Horizon Sports Rehabilitation (https://horizonsportsrehab.co.uk/).

All proceeds are donated to our nominated charities and we’re very grateful for their support!

These are available to pre-book at time of entry for £12.50. On the day £15.00

Bone-conducting Headphones are allowed. All other in ear Headphones/iPods/mp3 are prohibited. Our England Athletics race licence does not permit wearing of ‘regular in ear’ headphones on the course. You will be risking disqualification if you do – “The wearing of regular headphones, or similar devices, (other than those medically prescribed or bone conducting), is not permitted in races on any single carriageway road that is not wholly closed to traffic.”

Pace and cutoffs

Time allowed is 3 hours for all 3 races, which is generous, and the courses are considered achievable for most runners. There is a time limit of 2 hours to get to the 8 mile point on the Marlow Half Marathon course. Walking is viable for the Marlow 7 mile and Frankenstein races only.

Drinks stations

Drinks stations (water only. Paper cups will be provided) are situated at about 3.5, 7.5 and 10.5 miles around the Marlow Half Marathon course, and about the 3 and 4.5 miles for the Marlow 7 and Frankenstein. There will be drinks at the finish for all races.

Medical facilities

Medical cover will be provided at the start, on the course at strategic locations and at the finish & race village.

Event Photography

Various photographers will be at the race village and on course to capture your race. Don’t forget to smile for the camera! More details will be posted on our Facebook page post event.

Road Safety

Parts of the course are open to traffic. Runners must keep to the left hand side of the road except where directed onto the right. This happens about two thirds of a mile after the final drinks station. IMPORTANT: Runners must comply with police and marshals’ instructions at all times.
Within half a mile of the finish, the course crosses the A4155 Henley Road into Pound Lane. This is a busy road. We have both a professional Traffic Management company (using STOP/GO signs to manage traffic) and highly experienced marshals in place managing the crossing. Please follow marshal instructions given at the crossing and ONLY use the official crossing point. Failure to do this, will result in you being disqualified from the race.

Transfers, Deferrals and Refunds

Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds. We are a charity fundraising event and the surplus from our event is shared between our nominated charities. We do however have a very generous deferral and transfer policy.

Transfers to another runner

Available anytime before the race. Use your self-service link or visit the registration tent on race day. Please do not allow anyone else to use your entry without this transfer.

Transfers between races

Available anytime before collecting your race number. Use your self-service link or visit the registration tent on race day. There is no charge to swap between The Frankenstein and Marlow 7 races. If you’re swapping to the Marlow Half Marathon from The Frankenstein or Marlow 7, you will be charged the difference in race entry fees. We cannot offer refunds if changing from the longer Marlow Half Marathon to one of the shorter races.

Available until midnight, October 2nd. Email runner@marlowhalfmarathon.co.uk to request. The date will also be communicated via our event emails. Please do take the time to read these, as it is the runner’s responsibility to ensure that the deferral is requested before the cutoff date. We cannot and will not accept deferrals after the deadline.

If you are unable to run because you are pregnant or postpartum, you can defer your place to one of the following three years or offer you a full refund. Please email us at runner@marlowhalfmarathon.co.uk

Race Pack

Our comprehensive race pack will be available nearer to race day. In the meantime, please refer to our FAQ’s page.

All races start at 9:30am. Please arrive with plenty of time – race village opens at 07:15am.

One crucial detail we’d like to highlight is the race number collection. Race numbers will not be posted. You can collect your race number either –

  • one week before the event at Runners Retreat (Marlow shop – 33 West St, Marlow SL7 2L), from Saturday 27th Oct to Saturday 2nd Nov (dates inclusive), or
  • on the race day itself at Race HQ from 07:15am on Sunday 3rd Nov

We encourage you to plan your collection accordingly to make your race day experience as smooth as possible.
