Since 1990, over £261,000 has been raised for local charities by the Marlow Half Marathon and associated races

Our members nominate and vote at our AGM in April for the charities that are meaningful to them to benefit from the proceeds of our event in November.
Marlow Striders are proud to have donated over £261k to local charities over the past 30 years – click here to see the charities we have supported.
Our nominated charities for 2023 are: South Bucks Hospice at Butterfly House, Women’s Aid and the Marlow Sports Club.
Our charities for the 2022 race were the Marlow Ukraine Collective, the Samaritans, and the Marlow Sports Club.

Women’s Aid

nominated by Jen Franklin
Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of just under 170 organisations which provide 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. For almost 50 years we have campaigned on behalf of our members and survivors to shape policy and practice, and to raise awareness of domestic abuse.
Our support services, which include our Live Chat, the Survivors’ Forum, the No Woman Turned Away Project, the Survivor’s Handbook, Love Respect (our dedicated website for young people in their first relationships), the national Women’s Aid Directory and our advocacy projects, help thousands of women and children every year.

Our home club is Marlow Sports Club (MSC) and we are happy to support the on-going plans to update the facility so our club is a fit for purpose and a great place to meet and socialise after a long run.
